Meet Your Therapist:

Daisy Bonilla, LCSW

My clients all have unique histories. What they share is the determination to be free of past trauma, grief, depression, anger, PTSD symptoms, reoccurring thoughts, and life patterns. I have worked with clients working through addictions, OCD, attachment trauma, sexuality, gender identity, hoarding, cutting, suicidal tendencies; the effects of childhood sexual abuse, human trafficking, rape, borderline personality, marital affairs, divorce, co-parenting, complicated grief, racial oppression and a whole host of relational struggles. My clients come from all points of faith and walks of life. Teens, adults, and seniors. I work with individuals, couples, families, groups, staff teams, multiculturalism, and leadership development.

I practice from a person-centered framework through training in Solution Focused Interventions, as well as Structural Family Systems. I implement harm reduction approaches, Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy techniques. I am also an LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist.

I am confident that together we can work to help equip you with the necessary tools to help empower you to face and overcome life’s challenges. You don’t have to be alone on this journey. I would love an opportunity to connect with you and show you that there is hope in healing. Please reach out today.

Experience

Daisy Bonilla, LCSW, received her Master of Social Work from New York University. Daisy is bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish and loves being able to connect with clients and families of all cultures. She has worked tirelessly to empower communities in Northwest Arkansas for over 7 years as a social worker by always “meeting people where they are."

Daisy helps individuals navigate life stressors through an open and nonjudgmental approach. Daisy specializes in addressing intergenerational trauma through a systemic approach, especially amongst immigrant families. While her primary focus has been with adolescents, couples and families, Daisy also has experience working with adults across their lifespan guiding patients and families through the many barriers that arise from living with terminal illness and facing end of life concerns.

Daisy is passionate about creating a supportive and empowering environment in therapy for clients through building a safe space to explore and discover who clients are without fear nor sacrificing any of the parts that make up their intersectional identities. Daisy enjoys traveling, learning new skills, spending time with her family and empowering women and youth.
